So, I’m a big fan of masks. I like to use them once a week, just to clean out my pores & minimize them. Although, I love using my Mint & Lemon mask,  I am a huge fan of traditional made-at-home masks; two of which I shall show you all how to make.

Turmeric Mask

After you use this mask, you shall see how much clearer your face looks. It reduces redness and also evens our your skin tone. If your skin has a light yellow tint to it after using the mask, then just wash your face with a daily cleanser & it will go away.

In India, Turmeric is constantly used whether it’s in our curry or in our sandalwood, and it is because of it’s wonderful health benefits. If you were to ask any bride in India, they would agree to this because they mix turmeric with gram flour & water to make a scrub that use regularly to have spotless skin before their wedding date. 

Things you will need:

• A small bowl
• Turmeric powder
• Plain natural yogurt
• Mixing spoon

1. First, take your mixing bowl & add one tablespoon of turmeric powder then add one tablespoon of plain natural yogurt. My mother makes homemade yogurt, so that is what I use, but if you don’t have an Indian mother who can do that, then you can go to the store & buy a small container of natural yogurt.
2. Mix it all together til’ the mixture reaches a creamy consistency then apply it all over your face for about 10 minutes or until it’s dry.
3. Wash it all off with lukewarm water then do an extra splash of cold water on your face to lock in everything. Pat dry, don’t rub. 
4. Store the rest of the mixture within the fridge so it can stay cool & ready to use whenever you want.

Chocolate Mask

I know what you’re thinking, what? Chocolate? How does that help? Well, not only is dark chocolate incredibly good for your heart, it also it great for your skin since it’s extremely rich in antioxidants. This mask will tighten your pores and also keep your face looking fresh and glowing. 

Things you will need:

• A small bowl
• Cocoa powder
• Organic honey
• Natural yogurt
• Mixing spoon

1. So first, take one tablespoon of cocoa powder and place it into your small bowl. Then, take a table spoon of organic honey & add that to the bowl along with one table spoon of plain yogurt. Mix this all together and it will reach a creamy consistency. 
2. Apply this to your face or even other areas of your body that need a lil’ bit of love. 
3. Leave it on for about 25 minutes then pat your face dry. Never rub. This will tear your skin & cause irritation plus redness which it what we are trying to avoid. 
4. Store the rest within the fridge for whenever you want to use it again. 

& Voila ! Clear nice skin with two really simple DIY masks. I love the fact that both of these masks use yogurt since it hydrates your skin and also treats blemishes.
